Phil Hattis is a Laboratory Fellow at Draper, having come there as an MIT graduate student, and continuing his career there ever since. He has been a Technical Director for launch, space, missile, aerial, and soldier system development programs. This included work on human-rated space systems and lunar/Mars landers.  He served for four years on the Air Force Scientific Advisory Board, is a Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and a past AIAA Vice President for Public Policy.
